Oh, hey! You're here! You made it. 

My name is Yvette and I have been in the teacher (mainstream and bilingual) game for over 10 years. I'm a self-confessed 'Brain Geek' and what started as an interest in children's brains lead me down rabbit holes, to international conferences, studying my masters in Educational Neuroscience and then finally founding Bright Hearts. 

 

My 'why' is simple. A deep love of children (and their beautiful brains), teaching and a desire to impact change. Creating 'bright' class rooms for children and teachers with strategies and information that is anchored in science and the heart. For me, fusing my love and knowledge of brains , teaching and children was a no-brainer (ha!)

 

 I know that in many ways our education system is a little, ahem... fractured and after experiencing this firsthand, my passion to improve the lives of teachers and children only increased. I know that I cannot singlehandedly change the system, but I do believe that arming teachers with the knowledge of scientifically- informed strategies and engagement principles will only serve to ensure everyone flourishes.
